What tips do you have for getting better sleep?

Hey does anyone have any more tips for better sleep than I have?

Don’t use mobile phones / laptops / iPads 60 minutes before sleep, Use blue light glasses to reduce eye strain & discomfort, Have a fixed ‘bedtime’ even if you are not sleepy. You need to condition yourself to go to sleep. Similar to when you were a child.., Understand your body in terms of how many hours you need to sleep to be effective and adjust accordingly, Ensure the room environment is suitable in terms of temperature and airflow, Make sure you have thick curtains especially in Summer to avoid being woken up at sunrise, or invest in a comfy sleep mask, Use a specific fragrance to aid / trigger sleep.eg Lavender or Jasmine, Use technology to monitor your sleep patterns and track improvements based on using the various techniques / aids

Make your bed a place you want to be at the end of the day.

Accept that when you lay down, it is a place of rest and recovery for your mind, body and soul.

Unwind your mind, unpack your day and empty your thoughts. Let everything flow out of you and take deep, mindful breaths to calm your physical being. When you breathe in, feel the oxygen reaching every cell in your body and work your way from the tips of your toes to and fingers to the lungs, chest, heart and head. Let each breath find its path and allow it time.

Breathe in to the count of 5 and exhale to the count of 8. Empty yourself and feel light, relaxed and keep your eyes closed and mind light.

You did it. You made it through a day and deserve this rest. Tomorrow, a new dawn awaits and you will achieve great things, but not without rest.

Drift away and find peaceful bliss.
